After the storm
Last week’s storm delivered quite a punch to our access control points. Fortunately, when the canopies collapsed Wednesday night at the 1AD Construction Gate and the Global Reach Gate, our guards were not injured. Their quick action and ability to find shelter kept them safe. The guards then contacted the Directorate of Emergency Services and the Department of Public Works, and were able to reroute traffic almost immediately.
Kudos to our DPW and DES teams! Because of their quick response, our ACPs were only closed for a short period. Within 14 hours, the Global Reach Gate was fully operational. The ACP at Constitution went to a 24-hour operation.
