US man charged over Facebook spam
A man accused of sending the United States more than 27 million spam messages to users of Facebook turned in.
Sanford Wallace, who is known as the "Spam King", surrendered to FBI agents in California.
Prosecutors allege he developed a program that violates Facebook spam filters and attracted users to submit their account information.
Wallace denies the charges, which are punishable by imprisonment up to 10 years.
He was released on $ 100,000 (£ 61,000) bail.
Prosecutors say Mr. Wallace's program posted messages on the walls of Facebook users - so-called friends - urging users to visit a website account details were then harvested.
