(CNN) - Few people say they have actually contacting their wireless carrier for customer service. But if you have a contract for your cell phone, you'll probably have a little better service, according to a new survey by JD Power and Associates.

This survey of U.S. consumers comprehensive measures customer care performance on a scale of 1000 points. Cell phone users who sign a contract for wireless service has given an average score of 761 points for a customer care experience, as opposed to an average of 738 points for any contract and prepaid users.
